👉 Question (1) How many characters are there in the story ' Packing' ? Who are they ?

पैकिंग कहानी में कितने पात्र हैं ? वे कौन हैं ?

✍️ Answer. There are four characters in the story 'Packing', they are : the narrator, George, Harris, and the dog named Montmorency. 

👉 Question (2) What is the narrator proud of ? What does he feel about it ? 

वर्णनकर्ता को किस पर गर्व है ? इसके विषय में वह क्या महसूस करता है ? 

✍️ Answer. The narrator is proud of his packing. He feels that packing is one of those many things that he knows more about than any other person living.

👉 Question (3) The narrator intended that he should boss the job. What does he intend for Harris, and George ?

वर्णनकर्ता का आशय था कि मैं कार्य को नियंत्रित करूँ | हैरिस तथा जार्ज के लिए उसका क्या आशय था ?

👉 Question (6) Packing of the bag seemed a longer job to Jerome. Could he pack the bag at last ? If yes, what did he do then ? 

जेरोम को बैग की पैकिंग बड़ा लंबा काम लगता था | क्या वह अंत में बैग पैक कर सका ? यदि हाँ, तब उसने क्या किया ? 

✍️ Answer. Though the packing of the seemed a longer job to Jerome, he was able to pack the bag at last. Then he sat on it and strapped it.

✍️ Answer. His toothbrush always creates problems for him. He dreams that he hasn't packed it. The he has to hunt for it. He, in the morning, repacks it before use and then again opens the bag. 

👉 Question (10) ' I found George's and Harris's eighteen times over. 'What ?'... but I could not find my own' what ? 

' मैंने जॉर्ज तथा हैरिस को अठारह बार देखा है |' क्या ? ... लेकिन मुझे मेरा अपना नहीं मिल रहा ? क्या ? 

✍️ Answer. Here the author is talking about George's and Harris's toothbrushes and his own toothbrush.

👉 Question (11) When George asked him if the soap was in, what did the narrator say, and what did he do ? 

जब जार्ज ने उससे पूछा कि क्या साबुन अंदर है, तो वर्णनकर्ता ने क्या कहा, और उसने क्या किया ?

✍️ Answer. When George asked him of the soap, he said that he didn't care a bit whether the soap was in or whether it wasn't, and he slammed that bag shut and strapped it.

👉 Question (15) Did anyone encourage the dog ? If not, then why did he do things like that ? 

क्या किसी ने कुत्ते का उत्साहवर्धन किया ? यदि नहीं, तब वह ऐसी चीजें क्यों करता था ? 

✍️ Answer. No, on one encouraged the dog. He did things like that because of the natural, original sin that is born in him.

✍️ Answer. The thought of George's saying that ' if anything was broken, it was broken' seemed to comfort him.

हल्का-सा झगड़ा किस बात पर हुआ ?

✍️ Answer. George asked what time he should wake them. Harris wanted it at seven, and the author at six. And there was a bit of row between Harris and the author over it.

✍️ Answer. They place the bath at a particular place so that George might tumble into it on getting out in the morning.

👉 Question (1) What flaws did Jerom make in the packing of the bag ? 

बैग पैक करने में जेरोम ने क्या त्रुटियाँ की ?

✍️ Answer. Jerom was proud of his packing. He started packing and when he was over, he found he had left the boots out. He had to open the bag to put the boots in. Then an idea came to his mind whether he had packed his toothbrush or not at that time.

He found the brush inside a boot at last. He repacked once more. He packed his spectacles in the bag, and he had to re-open it.

👉 Question (2) What funny things did Montmorency the dog do ? 

मोंटमोरेन्सी कुत्ते ने क्या हास्यास्पद चीजें की ?

✍️ Answer. Montmorency, the dog, loved to create disturbance. When the things were being packed, the dog came and sat down on them. When George or Harris reached out his hand for anything, it was the dog's cold damp nose he found.

The dog put his leg into the jam. He disturbed the teaspoons and got into the hamper and killed three lemons as if they were rats.

👉 Question (3) George and Harris started with breaking a cup. They did not stop here. What else did they do ?

✍️ Answer. George and Harris started packing with breaking a cup. Then Harris packed the strawberry jam on top of a tomato and squashed it. George stepped on butter. They started stepping on things and putting behind them.

George stepped on butter. They were smashed. They put salt over everything. They spread butter too. They put it down on a chair, and Harris sat on it.

सोने जाने पर और अगली सुबह उठने के विषय में तीनों व्यक्तियों में क्या विचार हुआ ? 

✍️ Answer. After packing they were all ready for bed. Harris asked the author if he preferred the inside or the outside of the bed. Jerom told him that he preferred the inside. Harris thought it was odd. Then George asked them both what time he should wake him.

Harris said, ' seven'. But the author wanted to write some letters in the morning. So he said, 'six'. There was a bit of row over it, and finally half-past six was fixed.
