👉 Question (1) Horace was aware of all the details of the house. How ? 

होरेस को घर के बारे में पूरी जानकारी थी | कैसे ? 

✍️ Answer. Horace had been studying the house for the past two weeks. Moreover, a magazine article had described this house, giving a plan of all the rooms and a picture of the room. There were also the details of the safe hidden behind the safe.

✍️ Answer. 'Shotover Grange' was the name of the place or an area where that house was situated, which was the next target of Horace Danby.

✍️ Answer. Horace Danby was going to rob the safe at Shotover Grange. He had cut the wires of the burglar alarm. But the flowers on the table made a tickle his nose and he was sneezing repeatedly. Just then a young lady dressed in red come in at that moment.

She spoke friendly to Danby but her sound was firm. She told him that she was the owner's wife. She told him that she needed the jewels for a party but she forgot the password. He opened the safe without gloves. He gave all jewels to the young lady.

✍️ Answer. Horace Danby was a good and respectable citizen. He was about fifty years old but he was unmarried. He was a locksmith. Despite all the qualities, he was not completely honest. He had been to jail once.

He loved rare and expensive books. He broke a safe every year to have enough money to buy books. Once he was duped by a young lady. Thus, he was arrested and sent to prison.

👉 Question (3) Describe the whole incident between Horace and the lady.

होरेस और महिला के बीच घटितपूर्ण घटनाक्रम को समझाए |

✍️ Answer. The lady in red attire was also a thief. So was Horace Danby. But it was the lady in the red attire who outmanoeuvred and out-witted Horace. She pretended to be owner's wife. She told thief that she would let him go if he opened the safe for her.

He believed her and opened the safe without gloves. He gave all the jewels to young lady. In the end, Danby was arrested for the jewels robbery and sent to prison.
