Countless people don't try speaking in english because their close-knit group wouldn't like it and because their friends would laugh at them. You can't walk away from people who make fun of your speak in the wrong english.
You've to simply not pay any attention to them, keeping in mind that you have a larger perpose. It you don't try to speak because of them, you'll along with them eventually regret the lacked practice. (See the case study at the end of the past) and other way.
