✍️ Answer. On this page Margie wrote, "Today Tommy found a real book". 

👉 Question (2) What information did Margie's grandfather give her about old sort of books ? 

मार्गी के दादाजी ने पुराने प्रकार की किताबों के विषय में उसे (मार्गी को) क्या सूचना दी ? 

✍️ Answer. Tne information that Margie's grandfather gave her about old sort of books that when he was a little boy all stories were printed on paper.

✍️ Answer. The pages of the book were yellow and crinkly, and they bore words that stood still.

✍️ Answer. Old books had the same words on pages and after reading them you just threw them. Books on television screen they can be moved as per need, and the television screen can have millions books. Yoh don't throw them.

✍️ Answer. Margie were eleven years old and Tommy was thirteen years old.

✍️ Answer. The Geography sector was geared a little too quickly for an average ten-year level. Margie found problem in understanding it.

✍️ Answer. The country inspector was a round little man with a red face. He had a box of tools with dials and wires with him. 

👉 Question (8) The inspector patted Margie's head. What did he tell Mrs. Jones ?

✍️ Answer. The inspector patted Margie's head and told her mother that it was not Margie's fault. He thought the geography sector was geared a little too quick, so he slowed it down to Margie's level.

कहाँ तथा किस प्रकार मानव-अध्यापक पढ़ाया करते थे ?

✍️ Answer. Men teachers taught in a special builing where all the children came. They taught them things and gave them homework and asked them questions. 

👉 Question (12) What was Margie thinking bout the old schools they had when her grandfather's grandfather was a little boy ? 

मार्गी उन पुराने स्कूलों के विषय में क्या सोच रही थी जो कि तब होते थे जब उसके दादाजी के दादाजी छोटे बच्चे थे ? 

✍️ Answer. She thought all the kids came together, played and laughed together and learned together the same things. They went back home together. They could help each other in doing their homework.

✍️ Answer. The mechanical teacher was flashing on the screen "when we add fraction 1/2 and 1/4....".

✍️ Answer. Margie was thinking about how the kids must have loved it in the old days. She was thinking about the fun they had.

👉 Question (1) Describe the old type of books and compare them with the books Margie and Tommy had on their television screen. 

पुराने प्रकार की पुस्तकों का वर्णन कीजिए तथा उनकी तुलना उन पुस्तकों से कीजिए जो मार्गी तथा टॉमी के टेलीविजन के स्क्रीन पर होती थी | 

✍️ Answer. Old type of books were books that were printed on paper. Words printed on them remained the same and they stood still. Turn the page over, and you will find the same words printed there as you read before. After reading them, the books became useless, as Tommy says.

But the books Margie and Tommy had on their television screen could be moved. There could be millions of books or even more on the television screen. Everything kids wanted to learn could flash on the screen. 

👉 Question (2) Who were 'old teachers' ? Where and how did they teach students ?

'पुराने अध्यापक' कौन थे ? वे छात्रों को कहाँ व कैसे पढ़ाते थे ? 

✍️ Answer. Old teachers were men. They were not computers. They had special buildings for study in those days. They were called schools. Children reached there and sat together in the schoolroom. The teacher taught them new things and gave them homework.

The children learnt the same things. They helped each other with the homework and talked about it. In short, old teachers were men and not computers.

मार्गी को कैसे पढ़ाया जाता था |

✍️ Answer. Margie's school was in her house right next to her bedroom. She had the mechanical teacher gave her tests. There was a slot where she had to put her homework and test papers. Saturday and Sunday were off. 

Different sectors were geared according to age group of children. Once geography sector was geared a little to quick and the inspector had to slow it down to an average ten-year level.

मार्गी उन पुराने विद्यालयों के विषय में क्या सोचती थी, जो तब होते थे जब उसके दादाजी के दादाजी छोटे लड़के थे ? 

✍️ Answer. The concept of books on paper and old school was quite new for Margie. They had those schools when her grandfather's grandfather was a little boy. All the kids from whole neighbourhood came to school. 

There they laughed and shouted in the schoolyard, studied the same things taught by men teachers. At the end of the day they went back home together. Children talked about what they had learnt and helped one another with the homework.
