👉 Question (1) Why does Taplow say Mr. Crocker-Harris cannot be a sadist  ?

टैपलो क्यों कहता है कि मि. क्रॉकर परपीड़क नहीं हो सकते  ? 

✍️ Answer. A sadist is a person who gets pleasure while inflecting pain on others. Taplow says that he would not be so frightened of Mr. Crocker-Harris if he were a sadist. He would at least show her feelings. Mr.Crocker-Harris was indifferent and was like a nut.

👉 Question (2) How did Mr. Crocker-Harris react to Taplow's action of laughing at his joke ?

टैपलो के चुटकले पर हँसने की क्रिया पर मि. क्रॉकर -हैरिस ने कैसे प्रतिक्रिया की ?

✍️ Answer. He noticed that Taplow had laughed at his little joke. He confessed that he was pleased with the progress Taplow had made in his Latin. It was clean from the fact that he had understood so readily what the rest of the form did not. Then he asked Taplow to explain the joke to the rest of the class.

✍️ Answer. Mr. Frank is a young science teacher. He does not like the subject he teaches. He also admits that he tells the result to the students before it is officially announced by the head master. He feds envious Crocker-Harris because Taplow likes him.

👉 Question (4) Why Mr. Frank envy Mr. Crocker ?

✍️ Answer. Mr. Frank envies Mr. Crocker-Harris for the effect he has on the boys in the class. Mr.Crocker-does not fell the results before they are officially announced. And in spite of making students take extra work they still like Mr. Crocker-Harris.

👉 Question (1) What impression do you form about Mr. Crocker-Harris on the basis of reading the play " The Browning version" ? 

नाटक " The Browning version" के आधार पर मि. क्रॉकर - हैरिस का आप पर क्या प्रभाव पड़ता है ?

✍️ Answer. Mr. Crocker-Harris is a teacher who teaches Greek to the lower fifth form in a good school. He is the incharge of the form and as such he alone knows about the result of the students of his form which are to be officially announced day. From Taplow's comments about Crocker-Harris we learn that he is a teacher who takes his teaching very seriously.

We learn that even on the day when he is leaving the school for good, he is called a student for extra work because they said student has missed a day last week. He is the one who doesn't like to be flattered. He will judge a student only by his merit and not because of any prejudic . It is a tribute to his character that although like. Taplow do not like severity, yet they live and respect him from the core of their hearts.

👉 Summary of this chapter.

✍️ This is a play which highlights the attitude of teenage students towards his teacher. Moreover, his remarks are awful because they are very close to reality. He mimics the voice of Mr. Crocker-Harris. And call the man practically inhuman. He is extremely fearful of his teacher. Moreover, his promotion depends upon the quirk or goodwill of his teacher. However he opens up when the other science teacher encourage him to do so.

Further, the teenager hates Greek play because he does not like the teacher's method of teaching. During the conversation, Frank get to know that Taplow is waiting for his result which is yet to be hand out. They boy is keen to specialize in science and hope to get a good result. Mr. Crocker-Harris does not declare the result himself. Instead request the headmaster to declare the result on the last day of tearm.
