👉 Definition. (परिभाषा)

That work started in past but right now its running on in present with continuity without any interruption is called Present continuous or present progressive or present imperfect tense.

वह कार्य जो Past (भूत) में शुरू हुआ और वर्तमान समय में भी बिना किसी रुकावट के लगातार चल रहा हो,  Present continuous या Present progressive या Present imperfect tense कहलाता है | 

👉 Recognize of tense. (काल की पहचान)

इस Tense के वाक्यों के अंत में Main verb (मुख्य क्रिया) के साथ रहा है, रहे हैं, रही है, रहा हूँ etc.. शब्द आते हैं|

✓ As. (a) She is coming from Delhi.

                    वह दिल्ली से आ रही है |

           (b) I am reading now.

                    मैं अभी पढ़ रहा हूँ |

👉All rules step by step with suitable examples.

(1) Affirmative sentences. (सकारात्मक वाक्य) 

* (Rule) Sub. + Is/am/are + V-4 + Obj.

✓ Example.

(a) Sohan is flying kites.

          सोहन पतंग उड़ा रहा है |

(b) I am reading a magazine.

         मैं एक पत्रिका पढ़ रहा हूँ |

(c) They are wasting their time.

         वे अपना समय नष्ट कर रहे हैं |

(2) Negative sentences (नकारात्मक वाक्य)

* (Rule) Sub. + Is/am/are + Not + V-4 + Obj.

✓ Example.

(a) It is not raining heavily today.

           आज भारी वर्षा नहीं हो रही है |

(b) Students are not looking at the blackboard.

           छात्र श्यामपट पर नहीं देख रहे हैं | 

(3) Interrogative sentences (प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य)

* (Rule) Is/am/are + Sub. + V-4 + Obj. + ?

✓ Example.

(a) Are birds flying in the Sky ?

          क्या पक्षी आकाश में उड़ रहें हैं ?

(b) Is she coming at this time ?

         क्या वह इस समय आ रही है ?

(4) Interrogative + Negative sentences (प्रश्नवाचक + नकारात्मक वाक्य)

* (Rule) Is/am/are + Sub. + Not + V-4 + Obj. + ?

(a) Are you not coming now ?

         क्या तुम अभी नहीं आ रहे हो ?

(b) Am I not reading at heart ?

        क्या मैं दिल से (मन से) नहीं पढ़ रहा हूँ ?

Note :

जो वाक्य Interrogative यानी प्रश्नवाचक होता है वो हमेशा 'क्या' से शुरू होता है और जो वाक्य 'क्या' से शुरू होता है उसमें 'क्या' की अंग्रेजी (What) नहीं लिखी जाती है बल्कि सबसे पहले H.V. यानी Helping verb का प्रयोग होता है | 

👉Use of W.H. Family in present continuous tense.

✓ Note : 

What is the W.H. Family ? (W. H. Family क्या होता है ? )

The word in a sentence which raises question in the mind when read is called W.H. family.

जिस वाक्य में जिस शब्द को पढ़ने से मन में प्रश्न का भाव उठे उसे W. H. Family कहते हैं |

👉 Important hints about w.h. family.

W.H. Family न वाक्य के पहले आता है और न वाक्य के अंत में जब भी आता है तो वाक्य के बीच में जैसे - क्या, कब, क्यों, कैसे, कहाँ, क्या-क्या, किस समय, कितना, कहाँ से इत्यादि.... इसे दूसरे शब्दों में प्रश्नसूचक शब्द भी कहा जाता है |

* (Rule - 1) W.H.F. + Is/am/are + Sub. + V-4 + Obj. + ? 

✓ Example.

(a) Why are you going there ?

            तुम वहाँ क्यों जा रहे हो ?

(b) How are you doing it ?

            तुम यह कैसे कर रहे हो ?

* (Rule - 2) W.H.F. Is/am/are + Sub. + Not + V-4 + Obj. + ?

(a) How am I not reading daily ?

            मैं रोज कैसे नहीं पढ़ रहा हूँ ?

(b) Why are you not calling him ?

            तुम उसे क्यों नहीं बुला रहे हो ?

👉 Six condition of the rules.

Sub. + Is/am/are + V-4 + Obj.

Sub. + Is/am/are + Not + V-4 + Obj.

Is/am/are + Sub. + V-4 + Obj. + ?

Is/am/are + Sub. + Not + V-4 + Obj. + ?

W.H.F. + Is/am/are + Sub. + V-4 + Obj. + ?

W.H.F. + Is/am/are + Sub. + Not + V- 4 + Obj. + ?

           

👉 Six condition of one sentences.

She is coming from Delhi.

वह दिल्ली से आ रही है |

She is not coming from Delhi.

वह दिल्ली से नहीं आ रही है |

Is she coming from Delhi ?

क्या वह दिल्ली से आ रही है ?

Is she not coming from Delhi ?

क्या वह दिल्ली से नहीं आ रही है ?

How is she coming from Delhi ?

वह दिल्ली से कैसे आ रही है ?

How is she not coming from Delhi ?

वह दिल्ली से कैसे नहीं आ रही ही ?

👉 Use of contraction (Short form)

(!)  Is not         Isn't         इजन्ट

(!!)  Am not    Ain't         एन्ट

(!!!)  Are not   Aren't      आन्ट 

👉 Important hints about this tense.

इस Tense में कुछ वाक्य ऐसे होते हैं जिनमें रहा है, रहे हैं, रही है, रहा हूँ के बजाय केवल है, हैं, हो, हूँ etc .. शब्द ही आते हैं यानी रहा, रहे, रही, Silent रहता है तब भी इस Tense में उपर प्रयोग किये गये Rules के अनुसार ही translate होता है |

* As. (!) The mother is sitting inside the room.

              माता जी कमरे में बैठी हुई हैं |

      (!!) The beggar is standing at the door.

              भिखारी द्वार पर खड़ा है |
