👉 Question (1) What is the play " The proposal" about ? 

यह नाटक " द प्रपोजल" किसके बारे में है ? 

✍️ Answer. The play " The proposal" is about Lomov'e visit to his neighbour's Chubukov house, Lomov is wearing a formal dress. He has come with the intention of making a marriage proposal to Chubukov's daughter, Natalya.

👉 Question (2) What does Lomov think when he is alone ? 

जब लोमोव अकेला था तो उसने क्या सोचा ?

✍️ Answer. Lomov thinks that Natalya is an excellent housekeeper, not bad looking, well educated. It is impossible for him not to merry, and in the first place, he is already 35, he should lead a quiet and regular life, also he suffers palpitation, he is excitable and always getting upset. There are some other problems too which trouble him.

✍️ Answer. The first argument between Lomov and Natalya was regarding the oxen meadows, Lomov calls it his own, while Natalya argues that it belongs to her family.

✍️ Answer. Natalya was 25 years old daughter of Chubukov. She was a good housekeeper, not bad looking and well educated she secretly loved Lomov. She was greedy and short-sighted. She was short tempered as well.

लोमोव की पहली मुलाकात में प्रस्ताव अधूरा क्यों रह गया था ? 

✍️ Answer. It is because Lomov is very much nervous and excitable. He beats about the bush, when Natalya comes, and leaves the room, cursing, and threatening the Chubukov and his daughter, Natalya.

✍️ Answer. The title justifies the subject of the play, as the whole story revolves round the Lomov's marriage proposal to Nataya. The play ends with Chubukov asking Natalya to hurry up and get married immediately. Natalya seals the proposal by kissing and embracing Lomov.
