'बेचारे भूखे आदमी' ने क्या कहा कि उसे कितने दिनों तक कुछ खाने को नहीं मिला ? 

✍️ Answer. The poor, hungry man said that he had nothing to eat for three days.

✍️ Answer. Laying his hand on his heart, the man admitted that he was laying. He was neither a student nor a school teacher. The truth was he sang in a Russian choir and was sent away for drunkenness.

सरगेई की रसोइया कौन थी ? सरगेई ने उसे रसोईघर से बाहर क्यों बुलाया ? 

✍️ Answer. Olga, a woman, was Sergei's cook. He called her out of the kitchen so that she might take Lushkoff into the wood-shed and let him chop wood.

✍️ Answer. No, the man did not accept the chopping of wood because he was hungry and wanted work. He was not at all willing to work. He did so because of pride and shame, and because he had been trapped by his own words.

ओल्गा 'भिखारी' को अहाते में ले गई | तब उसने क्या किया ? 

✍️ Answer. Taking 'the beggar' into the yard, Olga glared wrathfully at him, shoved him aside with her elbow, unlocked the shed, and angrily banged the door.
