✍️ Answer. Matilda had to go and attend the party. She had no jewel to wear. So she had to borrow the necklace.

✍️ Answer. The other ladies had fur coats to wrap themseles whereas Matilda didn't have any. She didn't want to be noticed by them so she felt the ball in a hurry.

✍️ Answer. Mrs. Loisel was an extremely beautiful lady but by bad luck she was born in an ordinary family. Not only that she was married to an ordinary clerk. She always dreamt of riches and parties. So she remained sad and unhappy.

She suffered incessantly, feeling herself born for all delicacies and luxuries. She suffered from the poverty of her apartment, she shabby walls and the worn chains. Whenever she used to visit her rich friend, she wept from despair and disappointment.

✍️ Answer. Matilda is the central character in the story. 'The Necklace' she was an extremely beautiful lady but remained dissatisfied with her life. She used to keep on crying for the lack of comforts in her life. She always desired to attend parties and dinner.

It was because of her dissatisfied spirit, she found herself in trouble. When she lost her friend's diamond necklace, her life became a hell. It took her a decade to overcome all the problems. She lost her beauty also.

✍️ Answer. After reading the story, we come to know that Mr. Loisel was a gentleman. He was a very simple and honest man. He always tried to keep his wife happy. He never lost his temper. He was satisfied with his simple life. In order to make his wife happy, he sacrificed his wish of purchasing a gun.

When Madam Loisel lost the necklace, he was not angry but went in search of the necklace. The poor man had to suffer a lot. He had to borrow money also. He worked hard day and night and finally after ten years, he was successful in clearing the debts.

श्रीमती फोरेस्टियर की कहानी "द नेकलेस" में क्या भूमिका है ? 

✍️ Answer. Madam Forestier was the friend of Madam Loisel. She was a rich lady and used to live in a big house. She was a helpful person as when Madam Loisel went to her to borrow a piece of jewellery, she showed her jewellery and gave her diamond necklace for the party with great joy.

But when Madam Loisel returned it after some days, she was little bit upset with her. Only in the end of the story, she told her friend about the reality of the necklace. Madam Loisel was indeed a lucky lady to find such a person as her companion.
