✍️ Answer. The two ladies are sharply contrasted. Mrs Pearson is a pleasant but worried looking. This woman is in her forties. She speaks in a light, flurried sort of tone with a touch of suburban cockney. Mrs Fitzgerald is older, heavier and has a strong and sinister personality. She smokes. She has a deep voice, rather Irish tone.

✍️ Answer. The theme of the play is the status of women in their own household. The housewife serves the members of her family with complete devotion, sincerity and love. However, she is never given the regard, attention or thanks due to the her.
Her leniency and eagerness to please everyone reduces her to the rank of unpaid domestic servant in her own house . Instead of being politely requesting for a favour, she is ordered to do it.

श्रीमती एनी पियर्सन से आप किस प्रकार प्रभावित हैं ?
✍️ Answer. The character of Mrs Pearson can be best studied in the three parts (a) and (b) and (c)
(a) She is an ideal housewife. She spends all her time in looking after her family, waiting on them like a servant and meeting all their needs.
(b) She's bold and defiant. She refuses to obey their orders. She speaks to them impudently and shows them their proper place in the family.
(c) We note a marked change in her behaviour. She's no longer meek and submissive and docile.

✍️ Mother's day summary- mother's day is a play by J.B. Priestley. It is a satirical and humorous depiction of the status of the women, in particular, housewife in a family. Moreover, a housewife dedicates all her time in the service of her family but her family never acknowledge her services or thank her for all.
The chapter portrays the partical experience of mother, Mrs Pearson. On a daily basis, her kids disrespect and disregard her.Mrs Pearson life turns when she meets Mrs Fitzgerald, a fortune teller and discusses her family members and their terrible behaviour.
She tells Mrs Fitzgerald everything about her family behaviour. When the kids talk makes it very clear to both of them that they all will work equally from that onwards. And she won't work at weekends and enjoy with her friends. Mrs Pearson on seeing her family insult asks Mras Fitzgerald to stop all.
However, she doesn't let her speak until she teaches all of them a good lesson of respecting and honouring their mother. Soon after they switch personality again. And after that, the son, daughter and husband learn their lesson and start supporting their mother and wife.
