✍️ Answer. The narrator tells his tell. He is a homeopath by profession.

डॉक्टर घर कब पहुँचा ? उसने वहाँ पहली चीज क्या सुनी ?

✍️ Answer. The doctor reached his home at about ten O' clock at night after having his meal at the restaurant. The first thing that he heard there was a noise from above.

✍️Answer. The rented room which the doctor lived in had two windows in it. It was an outer room with one wall facing the open yard. It had a tilted roof. It was infested with rats.

✍️ Answer. As the doctor could not sleep, he got up and went out to the veranda for a little air.

✍️ Answer. After slithering along his shoulder, the snake coiled around his left arm above the elbow.

✍️ Answer. According to the author, the snake would have been admiring its beauty or wanting to grow a moustache or using eye shadow and mascara or wearing a vermilion spot on its forehead.

✍️ Answer. In reply the doctor said that his wife was not fat. She was a thin reedy person with a gift of a sprinter.

✍️ Answer. There was a large mirror on the table. Seeing it he thought that the mirror tempted one to look into it. Taking a comb and looking into the mirror, he tiched his hair.

Then he took a close look at his face in the mirror and made a decision of shaving daily and growing a thin moustache so that he might look more handsome.

✍️Answer. Lost in various thoughts, the doctor sat into the chair. Just then came a dull thud as if a rubber tube had fallen to the ground. As he moved to look behind, a fat snake wriggled over the back of the chair and landed on his shoulder.

Its spread out head was hardly three or four inches from his face. But fortunately, the snake turned its head and headed towards the mirror.

जब डॉक्टर साँप की पकड़ में था तो उसने कैसा महसूस किया ? उसने क्या प्रतिक्रिया दी ?

✍️ Answer. When the doctor was in the snake's grip, he became motionless. He neither jumped, nor trembled and nor cried. Seeing the snake's head hardly three or four inches from his face, he sat there holding his breath.

He felt the presence of God then. He was feeling pain in his arm. He thought suppose the snake bite him, he had no medicine in the house.

✍️ Answer. Quietly coming out of the room and into the veranda, he leapt into the yard and ran to his friend's house. There he smeared oil over himself and took bath and fresh.

The next morning, he with his friend and one or two others reached his room. There he found that some thief had taken away most of his things. The thief left only his dirty vest there.
